What We Believe

What we believe at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle or our “articles of faith” differ little from main stream Pentecostal movements. While a full detail could fill many pages, for those of you wondering what we teach and what we stand for, here is a brief outline. 1. We base our doctrine, our lifestyles, and our standards as well as receive our inspiration from the King James Version of the Bible. It is inspired, it is Divine, and it is our roadmap. 2. We believe, as does the Scriptures, in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. 3 separate Heavenly beings that can never be separated. God is the Creator. Jesus Christ, virgin born, and from death resurrected, is the Savior. The Holy Ghost, is the Comforter of the Church and when you receive Him, you will speak with new tongues. 3. We believe in water baptism, not that it saves a person, but that it testifies that a person has been saved by the Blood of Jesus. 4. We believe in Divine healing. 5. We believe in Communion services. 6. We believe ministries are called of God and must lead in moral lifestyles and be of good report. 7. We believe deacons having the same report and having a life full of the Holy Ghost. 8. We believe in church. A house of gathering, where saints forsake not the assembling of themselves. We believe church should be respected, that the church not only refers to a physical building, but also the flock of members who attend there, worship there, pay their tithe there, and are faithful. 9. We believe in the Rapture of the church in a “pre-catching” away before tribulation, but hold fellowship with others who believe in the “mid-tribulation” catching away. 10. Aside from the doctrines already stated, we firmly believe that you should visit Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle at least once to see for yourself, that we are the warm place to come home to…
